The MacLean's Annual Honour Roll issue is a marriage of pictures and words that together create the distinctive portraits of 12 Canadians who have made a difference. The honorees for 1998, several of whom work quietly in their communities, come from across the country and from a wide variety of fields. But all share two attributes - modesty, and an overwhelming desire to achieve.
